Abstract: Adaption strategy about Leymus racemosus under different grazing patterns was studied. Results showed that: both plant height and tillering distance from the ground of L. racemosus were the highest under all-day grazing pattern and the lowest under night grazing pattern. The area of leaf epidermal cell and mesophyll cell density were the largest under night grazing pattern. There was difference in leaf morphological change law of L. racemosus. Following the prolonging of grazing time, thd leaf epidermal cuticle thickness and mesophyll cell density showed an increase trend, while epidermal cell area of far axial plane leaves showed a decrease trend.
