Abstract: The content of several kinds of heavy metal elements in the soil after planting Panax notoginseng was detected and the residual situations of heavy metal elements in the soil with different crop rotation years of P. notoginseng were understood, so as to provide reference basis for planting P. notoginseng in the future. The soil cultivated with the first, third, fifth and seventh planting year of P. notoginseng were collected from the production areas of P. notoginseng. The content of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr and Ni in the soil was detected by using flame atomic absorption method. The results showed that the content of these kinds of heavy metals in the soil was accordant with national soil standards and GAP cultivation standards of P. notoginseng. And the content of Cu, Zn, Pb, Cr and Ni in the soil with different crop rotation years didn′t show regular changes.
