Abstract: [Objective] The research aimed to determine the soil environmental indices in beef cattle farm in Yili region of Xinjiang and evaluate soil environmental quality conditions of beef cattle farm. [Method] Soil samples was collected from representative points in four breeding farms to determine the content of harmful substances (total Pb, total As, total Hg, total Cd and total Cr). And the soil quality of breeding farms was evaluated. [Result] The average content of total Cr, total Pb, total As, total Hg and total Cd in the soil of four breeding farms were 29.352, 34.644,0.250,0.138 and 0.550 mg/kg respectively, which were lower than the limited concentration of Farmland Environmental Quality Evaluation Standards for Livestock and Poultry Production (HJ 568-2010). [Conclusion] The soil environmental quality of four beef cattle farms was at clean level, which was accordant with the soil environmental quality standard of beef cattle breeding.
