Abstract: In order to understand the infection situations of Toxoplasma gondii of sheep and the relationship between infection of T. gondii and abortion of sheep in Aletai region, 565 serum samples were randomly collected from six counties and one city of Aletai. The infection situations of T. gondii were detected by using indirect hemagglutination test. The results showed that the infection of T. gondii of sheep occurred in each county (city) of Aletai. The infection rate was different and the average infection rate was 6.5%. The mixed infection ofBrucella melitensis and T. gondii was found in some sheep with the abortion history, which indicated that the infection of 7: gondii should be also considered in order to prevent and treat the abortion of sheep, in addition to the infection of B. melitensis.
