Abstract: Based on the monthly sunshine duration data at 8 meteorological stations in Tongliao City of Inner Mongolia in recent 53 years （1961-2013）, the variation characteristics of change trend rate and the average value in different years, different seasons and different months were compared by using climate trend analysis and elements comparative analysis methods. And the historical evolution of the sunshine duration and the variation characteristics in different years, months and seasons were analyzed.
