Abstract: The origin and development of traceable technologies of livestock production and their applications in the production at home and abroad were briefly introduced. The constitutional elements of livestock′s traceable system were analyzed. The establishment and objective of traceable system in the production of mutton sheep were discussed. The existing problems in the traceable system in the production of livestock and livestock products were pointed out. And some suggestions were given for establishing and perfecting the traceable system of livestock and livestock products in China.
