Abstract: Silage fermentation is a complex process, including a series microbial activity and biochemical changes. The additives are frequently used to regulate the silage fermentation. In order to provide references for the future research of silage additives, the utilization and research status at home and abroad of additives employed in silage were reviewed in this paper, with emphasis on lactic acid bacteria, enzymes and molasses additives.
