This study was conducted to investigate the effect of TBT at environment concentrations on the bodyweight and feeding related behaviors of root voles. The root voles of experimental group were administrated with 1μg/mL of TBT according to the dose of 5μL/(g·BW) once every 3 days by gavage, and those of control group were administrated with the same volume physiological saline. During the experiment period of 45 d, the body weight of the root voles was recorded and the amount of their food intake and drinking water (supply-surplus) were measured. Furthermore, the duration and frequency of feeding, drinking and movement were recorded with videotape. The results showed that only in a limited number of observation time points, the duration and frequency of feeding and drinking of male root voles in TBT exposure group were significantly higher than those in control group (P〈0.05). However, there were not significant differences of the duration and frequency of feeding and drinking between female root voles in TBT exposure group and those in control group. The movement time of male root voles in the 3rd d after administrated with TBT was significantly more than that of the male root voles in control group (P〈0.05), whereas the rest time was significantly less (P〈0.05). With extension of the exposure time, none of significant differences of the movement and rest time were observed between the two groups. The influence of TBT exposure on the amount of food intake and drinking water and body weight of female root voles was not significant. It was indicated that the body weight of adult root voles was not significantly influenced by TBT exposure at environment concentrations, whereas the feeding related behaviors were partly influenced.

In order to determine the chitosan deposit level in selected tissues of carp after they fed with exogenous chitosan, a total of 210 carp were randomly divided into 7 groups, including control group and experimental groups Ⅰ-Ⅵ. The basic diet of experimental groupsⅠ-Ⅵwere added with 0.50%、1.00%、1.50%、2.00%、3.00%and 4.00%chitosan, respectively, the control group fed with routine diet without exogenous chitosan adding. During the 60 d of formal test period, one carp was randomly selected in each replicate from the control group and experimental groups every 10 d respectively to determine the chitosan deposit level in scale, fin and myoideum. The results showed that with the extension of feeding time and the increase of adding amount of exogenous chitosan in feed, the chitosan deposit level in all tested tissues for control group and experimental groups were increased in different degrees. However, no significant differences were observed in the change of chitosan deposit level in scale when the adding amount of exogenous chitosan in feed exceeded 3.00%, and there were no significant differences of the increase of chitosan deposit level in fin when the adding amount of exogenous chitosan in feed exceeded 1.50%.In the same experimental period, there were no significant differences of chitosan deposit level in myoideum between control groups and experimental groups or among the experimental groups. It was indicated that when the adding amount of exogenous chitosan in feed reached certain degree, the chitosan deposit level in scale and fin would not significantly increase with the increase of adding amount. Furthermore, the chitosan deposit level in myoideum was less influenced by exogenous chitosan in feed with different adding amount.

In order to understand the characteristic of change of MICs of different antimicrobial agents against the resistant E. coli strains induced by certain antibiotics in vitro, induction experiment of E. coli ATCC 25922 was conducted using tetracycline hydrochloride, ciprofloxacin hydrochloride, sodium salicylate and chloramphenicol as inducers by 1/2×MIC method. Prior to the induction experiment, the tested strain was morphologically and biochemically identified. During the induction experiment, the tested strains were morphologically identified. The MICs of 16 antimicrobial agents against the quality control strain were determined ahead of induction, and the MICs of 16 antimicrobial agents against the 4 induced strains were also determined when the concentrations of inducers reached to 128×MIC. The results showed that the morphological and biochemical characteristics of the tested strains were identical to E. coli. Before induction, the MICs of 16 antimicrobial agents against the quality control strain ranged from 0.25 to 64.00 μg/mL. MICs of cefotaxime, tetracycline hydrochloride, oxytetracycline, thiamphenicol, norfloxacin, cefoxitin and some of other antibiotics against the tetracycline hydrochloride induced strains were increased by 4 fold or more than 4 fold compared with those against the quality control strain, which showed a statistical significance. While MICs of cefotaxime against the ciprofloxacin hydrochloride induced strain and chloramphenicol induced strain were increased by more than 4 fold compared with that against the quality control strain, no statistical significances were found in the change of MICs of other antibiotics against the ciprofloxacin hydrochloride induced strain and chloramphenicol induced strain. When the concentration of sodium salicylate exceeded 16×MIC, the induced strain were not able to grow. It was indicated that the change of MICs of the tested antibiotics against the tetracycline hydrochloride induced strain was most obvious, and the E. coli was prone to become resistant under the selective pressure of tetracycline.
