Feeding Effect of Microbial Fermented Corn Stalk on Corriedale Sheep

Abstract: The feeding effect of microbial fermented corn stalk on Corriedale sheep was evaluated in this study. The result showed that the daily gain of sheep feed with microbial fermented corn stalk was 23%increased than that of sheep feed with dry corn stalk (P〈0.05),7% increased than that of sheep feed with hay. Furthermore, the daily net profit produced by per sheep feed with microbial fermented corn stalk was 0.78 and 0.42 yuan more than that of the sheep feed with dry corn stalk and the sheep feed with green dry hay, respectively. It was indicated that microbial fermentation of corn stalk is an important technique worthy of promotion in Bijie City of Guizhou province.
