Abstract: Porecine circovirus type 2(PCV2) is the main causative agent of porcine circovirus diseases(PCVD) which is widely spread in swine farm. The infection of PCV is frequently prevalent but is always latent. PCVD is a chronic syndrome and the clinical symptoms of infected swine seem minor. PCVD can be caused by multiple causative agents, and the occurrence of this disease always results in relapse and extension of infection duration, which brings huge economic to swine production. The etiology, epidemiological characteristics and preventive measures of PCVD in scaled intra-breed swine farm are reviewed, so as to provide references for the control of PCVD.
