Abstract: In order to study the differences between Mongolian horse and Thoroughbred in blood biochemical, immune and antioxidant indicators in normal physiological conditions, the content of these indicator in serum was measured respectively. The results show that among 10 blood biochemical indicators, the content of total protein, globulin and alanine transaminase in Thoroughbred were significantly lower than that in Mongolian horse(P〈0.05), while the content of albumin, cholesterol and acid phosphatase and the ratio of albumin to globulin in Thoroughbred were significantly higher than that in Mongolian horse(P〈0.05). Among the immune indicators, the content of IgA and IgG in Thoroughbred were significantly lower than that in Mongolian horse(P〈0.05), while the content of IgM in Thoroughbredwas was significantly higher than that in Mongolian horse(P〈0.05).There were no significant differences between Mongolian horse and Thoroughbred in the content of antioxidant indicators such as superoxide, dismutase, malondialdehyde, and hydroxyl radical(P〈0.05). These results have reference value to the determination of blood biochemical, immune and antioxidant indicators in horses, disease prevention and disease-resistance breeding of houses.
