To effectively solve the problems of occupation and pollution of experiment platform by newly produced histological slides during the process of airing, a drying rack of histological slides was developed, and it is simple to make the drying rack. It is composed of a support frame and several baffle plates, and the baffle plates were connected with the support frame by slide rails. This drying rack can be easily used. Firstly, newly produced histological slides were put on the hollow-carved baffle plates. Then the baffle plates were inserted into the slide rails on the supporting rack. The whole drying rack was baked in an oven at last. This dying method can improve the quality of histological slides, reduce the harm to experimenters from xylene, and save the space of experimental platform.

The daily evapotranspiration of dominant plants and soil moisture around their roots under different conditions of grazing intensity in desert steppe were studied. The results show that soil moisture around roots of Stipa breviflora increased with the increase of grazing intensity; soil moisture in the surface soil around roots of Artemisia frigida and Cleistogenes songorica did not change obviously with the increase of grazing intensity. Under the same condition of grazing intensity, the daily evapotranspiration of S. breviflora was relatively larger, while the daily evapotranspiration of A. frigida was relatively smaller. The daily evapotranspiration of vegetation had highly positive correlation with soil moisture.

Trial group 1 was as positive control with basal diets, while trial groups 3 and 5 were as negative controls with metabolizable energy reducing by 0.16 MJ/k and 0.33 MJ/kg respectively compared with the positive control, and trial groups 2, 4, and 6 were as experimental groups with addition of 400 g of compound enzyme to one ton of complete feed. The trial lasted for 45 days, and the laying performance and blood biochemical index of layers in various groups were determined at the end of the trial. Results show that the transformation rate of T lymphocyte in trial group 2 was significantly higher than that in trial group 1(P〈0.05), but there were no significant differences between the two groups in other laying performance and blood biochemical indicators of layers(P〉0.05); laying performance and blood biochemical indicators of layers in trial groups 4 and 6 improved significantly compared with trial groups 3 and 5(P〈0.05). In a word, addition of compound enzyme can increase utilization rate of feed by layers and excavate potential nutrient value of feet as much as possible.

In this paper, the basic information and the status quo of use of veterinary drugs in beef cattle farms in Inner Mongolia were investigated. The results show that small-scale and medium-scale breeding of beef cattle are dominant in Inner Mongolia, and there are a variety of business patterns, while they are mainly bred by breeding cooperatives. Main therapeutic drugs are antibiotics, and gentamicin was used most frequently. In the course of breeding cattle, the epidemic diseases are respiratory diseases and digestive tract diseases, and their preferred therapeutic drugs are florfenicol, amoxicillin and colistin in Inner Mongolia. Compared with medium and large farms, the types and frequency of drugs are more in small farms. The current method of using drugs may lead to gradual enhancement of drug resistance of pathogenic microorganisms and residues of veterinary drugs in products exceeding the standard.

Chicken grazing in woodland has been widely applied all over the country, but its negative impacts on soil quality in natural woodland in mountain areas are often neglected. In this paper, based on Soil Surface Assessment(SSA), impacts of chicken grazing in natural woodland on soil quality in terms of soil stability, soil infiltration rate and soil nutrient cycling in a mountain area in Beijing were evaluated. The results show that high-density grazing would lead to degradation of vegetation and soil in woodland, thereby affecting change of the entire ecosystem in woodland. It is recommended that before chicken grazing in natural woodland in mountain areas, especially in ecologically sensitive areas, the grazing density should be determined based on environmental impact assessment according to ecological carrying capacity. Meanwhile, it is needed to implement rotational grazing and supplementary feeding, and scientific breeding to maintain the balance of ecological and economic development.
