Abstract: Based on data of phenological periods of five species of natural herbage(Poa annua, Astragalus membranaceus,Geranium wilfordii, Elymus sibiricus, and Achillea millefolium) as well as meteorological data from the Urumqi Meteorological Experimental Station for Animal Husbandry during 2004-2015, relationship between the phenological periods and climatic factors was analyzed by using statistical analysis method. The results show that the seedling establishment period of the five species of herbage was basically the same, and the flowering period was earlier or later, while the withering period was later mostly except for leguminous herbage; temperature was an important factor influencing the phenological periods of the herbage in spring, and the seedling establishment and flowering period correlated with temperature of previous 1-2 months highly negatively, and the withering period correlated with temperature positively; the withering period of E. sibiricus correlated with sunshine duration of previous 1-2 months highly negatively.
