Culture and PCR Identification of Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae

Abstract: Pneumonia symptoms of goats appeared in three goat farms in Anhui Province. The mycoplasma isolate was cultivated and purified from lung tissue sample of goats using mycoplasma medium. The mycoplasma isolate was characterized by morphologic observation, PCR identification and sequence alignment. The results indicate that the mycoplasma isolate belongs to Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae.
