Abstract: Liver plays essential roles in regulating lipid metabolism in avian. The lipid metabolism in laying hens is relatively more active due to the requirement of egg producing and therefore fatty liver syndrome (FLS) is commonly induced. The pathogenesis of FLS in laying hens is reviewed in this paper, so as to provide references for the researchers.
