Abstract: Based on the meteorological observation data collected from 1961 to 2016 by the Ewenke Autonomous Banner National Ordinary Meteorological Observing Station, the climatic characteristics of hail in this region was analyzed. The results showed that the annual average hail days were 1.5 days and the maximum of the annual hail days （7 days） was observed in 1980 and 1984. The annual variation of the hail days exhibited a decreasing tendency. The presence of hail showed an obvious seasonal feature, and the hail most frequently emerged in summer.
