Abstract: The maximum frozen soil depth of the Ewenke area of Inner Mongolia from 1981 to 2010 is analyzed by way ofdescription analysis and cumulative distance. The results show that the maximum frozen soil depth in Ewenke area is 244 cm inaverage; the maximum value （288 cm） appeared in 2010, while the minimum value （222 cm） appeared in 1983; and thedifference between the maximum and minimum is 66 cm. The maximum frozen soil depth is increasing gradually.
