Abstract: The Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges(AAVMC)has adopted a joint certification program in running requirements of veterinary medical college in the USA,Canada and the international veterinary medical colleges belonging to AVVMC.The purpose of the present study is to interpret the AAVMC 2016-2017 annual report on faculty and academic staff related data,including the number and proportion of administrator,tenure track faculty,non-tenure clinical faculty and non-tenure research faculty.Simultaneously,the gender and nationality ratio in these types of faculty is interpreted.We hope to provide references for connection of the Chinese and international veterinary medicine education and for establishment of standards in faculty for veterinary medical college in China.
