Diagnosis and Treatment of Corynebacteriosis in Chinchilla Rabbits

Abstract: A comprehensive diagnosis of a clinical case of corynebacteriosis in Chinchilla rabbits was made from the aspects of incidence, clinical signs, pathological anatomy, laboratory examination; the diseased rabbits with ulcered superficial lymph nodes were treated with ampicillin and gentamicin, and the therapeutic efficacy of the two antimicrobial agents were compared. The results showed that ampicillin exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy to gentamicin.
