Abstract: Simple femoral head and neck fractures in dogs and cats are rarely observed in veterinary clinic. This disease is always associated with the injury of pelvis or femur caused by direct or indirect external forces, and is often secondary to osteoporosis caused by dysplasia of the hip joint. A slight external force can result in femoral head and neck fracture in companion animals. Here, we described the clinical symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of a case of femoral head and neck fracture in cats.
