Abstract: The stems and leaves are the aerial parts of the leguminous plant Glycyrrhiza uralensis. There are some biological active substances in the stems and leaves of Glycyrrhiza uralensis, such as flavonoids, glycyrrhizic acid, glycyrrhizin and liquiritin, which express antibacterial, antiviral, anti -oxidant, lipid-lowering and immune enhancing activities. The nutritional value of stems and leaves of Glycyrrhiza uralensis and their application in ruminants feed were reviewed.
