Teaching Strategies of Veterinary Public Health under the Background of African Swine Fever

Abstract: Veterinary Public Health is a comprehensive application discipline serving for human health by utilizing all theoretical knowledge, practical activities and material resources associated with human and animal health. It plays an important defensive role in animal food safety, animal epidemics and zoonosis. In view of the current situation of African swine fever in China, on the basis of expounding the importance of Veterinary Public Health, this paper analyzes the teaching strategies of this curriculum, in hoping to break the cognitive limitation of the specialty of veterinary medicine, strengthen the understanding of connotation of veterinary hygiene, improve the curriculum value, and provide guidance for optimizing teaching contents and improving teaching quality.
