Abstract: A total of ll short tandem repeat (STR) loci including TGLA227,BM2113,TGLA53,ETHlO,SPS115,TGLA126, TGLA 122 ,INRA 23 ,ETH3 ,ETH225 and BM1824 on DNA of three cattle, namely, calf, the first cow and the second cow were amplified by PC R method, the amplification products were separated and analyzed in a genetic analyzer (AB 3130xl). The paternity probability between the calf and the first cow was ruled out, but that was not ruled out between the calf and the second cow. The results showed that STR loci analysis was a validation method for identification parentage in cattle. Most of the STR loci using in the present study has high performance.
