Abstract: A total of 40 young male buffalo hybrids at the age of 1.5-2.5 years were selected. They were castrated for the staged fattening trial in order to investigate the effects of castration and different combinations of coarse fodder on daily gain. The results showed that the castrated male buffalo hybrids fed with elephant grass and corn silage had the highest daily gain, and the castrated male buffalo hybrids had higher average daily gain than that of non-castrated ones.
