Abstract: This experiment was carried out to assess the growth characterization of tolerance-salt to Saussurea runcinata. The seedling stage of S.runcinata was respectively stressed by NaCl and Na2SO4 at the concentration of(0,60,120,180,240,300 and 360 mmol/L),and these indexes were determined, including root-top ratio, relative growth rate, root length and plant height. The results showed that root-top ratio and root length of S.runcinata were greater than that of the control under salt stress, but the relative growth rate and plant height of S.runcinata were less than that of the control;Root-top ratio of S.runcinata is no significant difference under the same concentration of two kinds salt stress, but the relative growth rate of S.runcinata under NaCl stress is significantly higher than that of Na2SO4 stress.
