Abstract: Radishes were used to find the factors affecting removal of pesticide residues in such root vegetables at home.Taking 2% detergent as an example,the effects of these factors declined in the order of soaking time,rinsing times,and blanching time.The best combination to remove pesticide residues in root vegetables was soaking root vegetables in 2% detergents for 10 min,rinsing in running water （3×1 min）,and blanching in boiling water for 1 min.
