Abstract: The virus infectious diseases increasingly pose a great threat to the large-scale donkey farms which seriously affect the healthy development of domestic donkey industry. Some infectious diseases with clinical significance to donkeys such as horse rhinopneumonitis, infectious encephalomyelitis and viral arteritis, were introduced and reviewed in the aspects of pathogens characteristics, clinical manifestations, mainly used diagnostic methods, transmission routes, major prevention and control measures, and geographical distribution. In addition, the risk(or susceptibility) of these virus infectious diseases in a large-scale donkey farm was evaluated based on the literatures.
