Abstract: By using acid process, alkaline process, ultrasonic wave cracking process, and Sevage albumenose-free method, the active polysaeharide β-1.3-D-dexlran was extracted from the sea-huckthorn yeast, also the polysaecharide content and the composition as well as the physics and chemistry characteristics were analysed, the result indicated that the sea-huekthorn yeast β-1 . 3- D- dextran extraetion rate is higher by using alkaline process than that of acid process. Also. there is only dextran as polysaecharide using acid process extraction. But dextran as well as mannan was got by using alkaline process. This provides the foundation for further using the sea-buckthorn yeast polysaccharide.
