Abstract: When being infected by external pathogens, animals initiate immune defense system. The immune defense system secrets non-specific immune products, that is,antimicrobial peptides.Antimicrobial peptides have positive charge, low molecular weight, broad antibacterial spectrum and good thermal stability. As a result, antibacterial peptides may be applied in medicine. Some researches show that many kinds of antibacterial peptides have antibacterial activity and extensive regulation on innate and acquired immunity.
