Abstract: As a reporter gene, green fluorescent protein (GFP) has the advantages of high sensitivity, good stability, low cytotoxicity and so on,which has been widely used in the study of the interaction between pathogens and host plants. In this paper, the application of GFP in plant pathogens was discussed from the aspects of transformation method of GFP,the pathogen infection process, the detection of pathogen quantity, and the study on subcellular structure of pathogen. It provided reference information for the application of GFP.
