Abstract: The course is the basic unit and main carrier of talent training,and its system construction and reform are important guarantee for higher education to improve the quality of talent training.The implementation of outstanding agricultural and forestry talents training plan and fulfillment of the education concept emphasizing"student oriented"should take the course as a breakthrough point,and the systematic reform should be carried out from the aspects of curriculum system,teaching contents,teaching methods and so on.Based on the analysis of"student oriented"education philosophy connotation and the objective of excellent agricultural and forestry talents training,taking the animal science specialty in Guangdong Ocean University as an example,the overall thinking,construction focus,supplementary measures and practical effect of the course reform under the background of credit system reform were introduced.
