Abstract: Gallus gallus,the ancestor of Gallus domesticus,belongs to genus Gallus,family Phasianidae,order Galliformes,and is listed as national second-class protected wild animal.The geographical distribution and population size of Gallus gallus was introduced,and its ethogram was characterized from the aspects of feeding behavior,resting behavior,reproductive behavior,aggressive behavior and stressing behavior,in hoping to provide technical guidance and theoretical basis for the artificial rearing and population protection and utilization of Gallus gallus.
