Abstract: China has rich Chinese herbal resources and a long history of the application. Meanwhile, China has a big animal husbandry production industry, and has a broad development prospects in additive research and development, further use of Chinese herbal medicine, and produce high quality of animal products. The functions, application, existing problems and development trend of Chinese herbal medicine additive were summarized in order to provide reference for the reasonable development and application of Chinese herbal feed additive in animal production.
