Abstract: This article gives an overview of the undergraduates training mode of aquaculture major in local colleges and universities in northwest region and the current situation of talents demand. Based on China＇s higher education and aquaculture talents training mode in the 21st century higher education, combined with the cultivation of regional talents, the training direction of undergraduates in aquaculture major in local colleges and universities in northwest region is comprehensively determined. Furthermore, we propose that the cultivation of international talents is bound to become the developmental direction of the talents training in major of aquaculture in this region in the future.
