The morbidity and mortality are both high causing greater damage to the sheep industry. In recent years, sheep contagious pleuropneumonia appeared in Inner Mongolia. In order to verify the cause of disease, selection of specimens was performed in the Inner Mongolian. Finally, seven strains of Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae were obtained after separation. In the present article, we summarized the isolation, culture, morphological characteristics, physical and chemical properties of the pathogenic microorganisms etc., so as to provide a reference for rapid diagnosis and prevention of the disease.
