Effect of Different Fermentation Techniques on Basic Nutritional Composition of Sweet Sorghum Straw Stillage

Abstract: The sweet sorghum straw can be used as high energy materials to produce fuel ethanol and its by-product is stillage.The basic composition of stillage from fermentation with different techniques was analyzed.The results showed that crude protein content in stllage was the highest with inoculation of 0.25% bacteria,activated for 2 hours,fermented for 5 days.Therefore,sweet sorghum straw stillage after processed can be used as crude feed for ruminants to improve the comprehensive utilization rate of straw.
