Abstract: The occurrence and development of desertification of Hulunbeier sandy land have three characteristics, vulnerability, recoverability and reversibility. The effects of climatic changes on sandy land should be considered to strengthen the protection of eco- environment, to adopt effective measures of eco-eonstruction and thus to achieve fundamental improvement of eco-environment in sandy land. By analyzing the climatic characteristics of sandy grassland, countermeasures and suggestions were proposed to control the Hulunbeier sandy land. This Study may inspire and guide the public and the sand control departments to control the sand land in different areas and protect natural resources according to climatic characteristics of the sand land.
