Abstract: China is rich in stalks. In recent years, to use ammoniated stalks to feed animals has become an important project of FAO and the Ministry of Agriculture of China. The Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau has a large quantity of stalks, but they are mainly used as fuel, which not only wastes resources to some extent but also harms environment. To make full use of barley stalks, ammonification of barley stalks was introduced based on some investigations.
