Abstract: In order to master the feeding habits and food quantity of rodents with severe damage to the agriculture and forestry in the southeast region of Heilongjiang Province,the field survey was made from March of 2010 to January of 2011,so as to kill rodents and provide scientific basis for preventing rodent harms in departments of forestry.The captured rats were and fed in the laboratory and anatomized to measure the food quantity.The results showed that the seeds and berries were the staple food of arboreal rodents,accounting for about 70%.While the foods of epigeal rodents had evident seasonal and regional difference.
