  • Effects of β-glucan on the Production Performance,Egg Quality and Immune Indices of Laying Hens

    The effects of β-glucan on the production performance,egg quality and immune indices of laying hens were studied in the experiment.Seven hundred and twenty healthy New Roman laying hens were randomly divided into 3 diet groups,including 100mg/kg β-glucan group,blank control group and antibiotic control group.The test lasted 56 days.The results showed that β-glucan had no significant effect on the production performance of laying hens(P 0.05).β-glucan can increase the antibody titers of newcastle disease vaccine after immunizing 20 days,slow the decreasing trend,decrease the number of fecal E.coli after feeding 56 days significantly (P0.01)and significantly reduce the cholesterol content in yolk(P0.01)and improve the egg quality(P0.05).

    Temperature is one of the important environmental factors that affect fish survival.The effects of abrupt temperature change on the activities and the survival rate of Acipenser schrenckii were preliminary studied in the experiment.The results showed that Acipenser schrenckii juvenile could withstand abrupt temperature change from 28℃ to 16℃ within 6 h and the survival rate was 100%.However,Acipenser schrenckii juvenile had slightly abnormal activity when the temperature difference was -6℃.Acipenser schrenckii juvenile submerged in the underwater,the activities slowed down and breathe quickened when the temperature difference was -8℃,-10℃ or -12℃.

    The complexation reactions of hydrochlorate of Fe,Cu,Zn and dextran were made at certain proportion.The products were depurated for many times with ethanol and the physicochemical properties,dissociated metal elements,content of metals stability and other characters were determined.The results showed that the products was made into the injection and mice had extremely significant weight gain after they were injected with the injection by tail intravenous injection eight days(P0.01).
    Effects of Ethanol Extracts from Allium mongolicum Regel on the Development of Small Intestine Mucous Membrane in Broiler Chicks

    In this experiment,120 one- day-old Ross 308 broiler chicks were selected randomly and divided into 4 groups with three repetitions,with each repetition of 10 chicks.The basal diet was fed in the control group.And 100,300 and 500mg/kg ethanol extracts from Allium mongolicum Regel (AWE)were added to the basal diet in the experimental groups AWEⅠ,AWE Ⅱand AWE Ⅲ respectively.The effects of ethanol extracts from A.mongolicum on the development of small intestine mucous membrane in broilers were studied.The results showed that adding 500mg/kg AWE in the basal diet could significantly increase the villus length of duodenum of 28-day- old broiler chicks and the villus length of jejunum of 42-day- old broiler chicks(P0.05).The villus width and the crypt depth between control group and experimental groups had no significant difference(P0.05).Adding ethanol extracts from A.mongolicum to the diet significantly increased V/C ratio of duodenum in broiler chicks(P0.05).V/C ratio of duodenum in each experimental group was significantly higher than that of control group (P0.05).V/C ratio of the jejunum and the ileum of 28-day-old broiler chicks in each experiment group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P0.05).The above results showed that adding ethanol extracts from A.mongolicum to the diet had certain promotion on the normal development of small intestine mucous membrane in broiler chicks and enhanced the absorption capability of small intestine mucous membrane of broiler chicks.And 500mg/kg AWE in diet had the best effect.

    In order to master the relationship between the daily feed intake of Eutamias sibiricus and food variety,the relationship between the daily feed intake of E.sibiricus and food variety under the laboratory feeding conditions were studied.The results showed that the average daily feed intake of E.sibiricus was(15.35+1.09)g and there was no significant sexual difference of average feed intake.The weight of E.sibiricus showed a positive correlation with the daily feed intake and the correlation equation was y =0.0487x+90.102.

    In order to master the feeding habits and food quantity of rodents with severe damage to the agriculture and forestry in the southeast region of Heilongjiang Province,the field survey was made from March of 2010 to January of 2011,so as to kill rodents and provide scientific basis for preventing rodent harms in departments of forestry.The captured rats were and fed in the laboratory and anatomized to measure the food quantity.The results showed that the seeds and berries were the staple food of arboreal rodents,accounting for about 70%.While the foods of epigeal rodents had evident seasonal and regional difference.

    KCa3.1 has been characterized in numerous types of cells that contribute to the development of vascular disease,such as T-cells,B-cells,endothelial cells,fibroblasts,macrophages and dedifferentiated smooth muscle cells(SMCs).Physiologically,the hyperpolarization of KCa3.1 has been demonstrated to be induced by acetylcholine and endothelium-derived hyperpolarizing factor (EDHF),so as to control the blood pressure.Pathophysiologically,the abnormity of KCa3.1 can cause the proliferation and migration of vascular SMCs.The roles of KCa3.1 in EC and SMCs were summarized and the research advances of KCa3.1 channel were reviewed.

    Since 2007,Demonstration and Popularization Program of Scientific Feeding and Variety Breeding Technology of Drylot-feeding Sheep was conducted in Darhan Muminggan United Town in Baotou City of Inner Mongolia for two years.32 demonstration sites were chosen in 6 villages of the whole banner to popularize and apply four technologies,including scientific feeding and management,the fattening of meat goat,artificial insemination and rapid propagation of sheep,improving the twinning rate by using fecundin.Many difficulties and practical problems that farmers and herdsmen encountered in the feeding and management of meat sheep after drylot feeding were solved.Obvious economic benefits,social benefits and ecological benefits were obtained by famers in program-covering region.
    Blood Indices and Observation on the Hemocytopoiesis of Clarias leather

    The blood indices of Clarias leather were determined.The erythrocyte density and leukocyte density were(29.04±2.12)×106 ind/mm3 and(1.21±0.85)×104 ind/mm3 respectively.The hemoglobin content was(7.64±0.69)g/L and the erythrocyte osmotic fragility was(0.46±0.03)%.The hematocrit was(36.69±0.99)% and the erythrocyte sedimentation rate was(3.40±0.56)mm/h.Through the smear observation of peripheral blood in Clarias leather,erythrocytes,thrombocytes,lymphocytes,neutrophils and monocytes were recognized.But eosinophilic granulocytes and basophilic granulocytes were not found.And the percentages of thrombocytes,large lymphocyte,small lymphocytes,neutrophils and monocytes in total leucocytes were (3.43±0.74)%,(4.36±0.65)%,(60.09±1.35)%,(16.62±1.29)% and(14.60±0.79)% respectively.Besides,some immature red blood cells could also be observed on the smears.The hemocytopoiesis processes of blood cells in liver,spleen,pronephros and kidney were observed and measured.The results showed that pronephros,kidney and spleen of Clarias leather could produce all kinds of blood cells and they were main hematopoietic organs.

    In order to study the effects of exogenous cellulase on the bacterial degradation by rumen fiber of dairy cow,three dairy cows with close ages and weight were selected as experimental animals to install permanent rumen fistula.The self-control test method that was consisted of two experimental periods was conducted.During the first period,no exogenous cellulase was supplemented to the basal diet (control group).During the second period,exogenous cellulase combination was supplemented to the basal diet at the proportion of 0.1% (experimental group).The results showed that exogenous cellulase significantly increased the number of Ruminococcus albus,Ruminococcus flavefaciens,Fibrobacter succinogenes,Butyrivibrio fibrisolvens,Eubacterium ruminantium and Prevotella ruminicola in the rumen of dairy cow(P0.05~P0.01).

    β-mannanase is one kind of new feed additives.Adding β-mannanase can promote the multiplication of intestinal beneficial bacteria in animals,suppresses the growth of harmful bacteria,maintain the ecological equilibrium of intestinal microorganisms,enhance the immunity and the disease resistance of animal organism,increase the digestibility of mannan in feed by poultry,decrease the chyme viscosity in the alimentary tract of poultry,enhance the digestion and absorption of nutrients in intestinal tract and reduce the environmental pollution by poultry excreta.The research progresses on β-mannanase for forage were expounded from three aspects of the source and mechanism of β-mannanase and its application in poultry feed.

    Liquid-liquid-liquid micro-extraction (LLLME) combined with high performance liquid chromatography was developed for the determination of diethylstilbeostrol in feed.The micro-extraction conditions were optimized.The calibration curve showed a good linearity in the range of 0.05 -5.00mg/L (r=0.998).The limit of detection was 0.5 μg/kg and the relative standard deviation was lower than 10%.The method was green,simple,sensitive and suitable for the determination of diethylstilbeostrol in feed.

    The dynamic changes of the quantity and the phosphate-solubilizing intensity of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria in the rhizosphere of Leymus chinensis at different developmental stages in Songnen Plain were studied.The study showed that the quantity of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria in the rhizosphere and nonrhizosphere of L.chinensis at different developmental stages showed the change trend of the single peak curve and reached the maximal value at the post-fruiting vegetation stage.Both inorganic phosphobacteria and organic phosphobacteria showed obvious rhizosphere effects.The quantity of organic phosphobacteria was more than that of inorganic phosphobacteria.The phosphate-solubilizing intensity of phosphate-solubilizing bacteria in L.chinensis at different developmental stages all showed the change trend of the single peak curve.Except post-fruiting vegetation stage,the phosphate-solubilizing intensity of inorganic phosphobacteria was higher than organic phosphobacteria.

    Using single-factor test design,24 2-month-old healthy rabbits were selected and randomized into 4 groups.The meat rabbits in 4 groups were fed with different forage adding the same amount of(500 g)Lolium multiflorum L.,Dactylis glomerata L.,Hemarthria compressa(L.F.) R.Br.and Cichorium intybus L.to the daily basal diet (50 g)respectively.Their effects on the daily feed intake,daily weight gain,feed-gain ratio were determined.The results showed that the daily weight and feed-gain ratio of meat rabbits fed with L.multiflorum and D.glomerata were significantly increased than that fed with H.compressa and C.intybus(P0.05).The feed intake of L.multiflorum by meat rabbits was the highest(P0.05).The diarrhea index of meat rabbits fed with these four kinds of herbage had no significant difference(P 0.05),being at normal level.Conclusively,all the four kinds of herbage are fit for rabbits.The feeding effect of L.multiflorum was the best,followed by D.glomerata,and that of H.compressa and C.intybus was the worst.

    Andrias davidianus is one kind of endemic rare and endangered species in China.The main reasons for the low rate of artificial propagation of A.davidianus include asynchronous development of male and female gland in A.davidianus,low development and maturation rate of gonad,low sperm motility,low induced-spawning rate,low fertilization rate,low incubation rate and so on.The main limiting factors in the artificial propagation process of A.davidianus.It was put forward that the key factors that restricted the artificial propagation rate of A.davidianus were water temperature,water flow,lighting and bait.Some concrete parameters were proposed on the basis of the artificial propagation practice of A.davidianus from 2002 to 2010 in Institute of Rare Aquatic Animals in Xiuning County of Huangshan City in Anhui Province,so as to provide reference for the research and practice of the artificial propagation technique of A.davidianus.

    In the raising process of parrot,the common bacteriosis mainly includes colibacillosis,infectious coryza,avain cholera,infectious ophthalmia and so on.The pathogen of common parrot diseases of parrot was separated and identified.The main pathogen types and effective control programs of common bacterial diseases of parrot were discussed.The results showed that main pathogenic bacteria that caused common bacterial diseases of parrot included Escherichia coli,Haemophilus paragallinarum,Pasteurella multocida,Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus durans.

    In recent years,avian influenza has been the top important point in the prevention and control of animal diseases in each country.Although H9N2-subtype avian influenza virus is a kind of lowly pathogenic avian influenza virus,but it has wide infection range,it has rapid occurrence speed and can bring great losses.At present,using inactivated vaccine is the main method for preventing H9-subtype avian influenza.Although this vaccine suppressed the disease symptoms of the immunized chicken in clinic,but it could not stop the toxin removal after the infection and had certain effects on the meat quality.The research showed that HVJ-E had the function of dual immunoregulation,hoping to be applied as the immune adjuvant of the inactivated vaccine of H9-subtype avian influenza virus in clinic.

    Based on the criteria of national standards,20 surface samples of pig carcass and 20 meat samples of pig carcass from a fixed-point pig slaughterhouse were collected for detecting total number of bacterial colony,coliform bacteria,Salmonella spp.,Staphylococcus aureus.The results demonstrated that the over-standard rates of the total number of bacterial colony and coliform bacteria on the surface of pig carcass were 20% and 5% respectively.The over-standard rates of the total number of bacterial colony and coliform bacteria in meat samples of pig carcass were 5% and 0 respectively.The detection rates of Salmonella spp.on the surface of pig carcass and in meat samples of pig carcass were 5% and 0 respectively.And Staphylococcus aureus was not detected in both carcass surface and meat samples.The results showed that the qualification rate of hygiene quality in this slaughterhouse was relatively higher.But it is necessary to further enhance the levels of slaughter production and processing.

    Piglet diarrhea has complicated reasons and it is one of common diseases that often brings a great economic loss in pig farm.The diarrhea situations of piglets in 12 large-scale pig farms with the livestock population of foundation sow of over 400 heads in Anhui,Henan and Jiangsu Provinces were investigated from January of 2011 to April of 2011.The incidence characteristics of piglet diarrhea in these pig farms were analyzed.Different prevention and cure methods were summarized,so as to provide reference for veterinary workers.

    Shandan horse is used as crossbreeding female parent or male parent for direct utilization.Besides,Shandan horse is used as basic breeding materials in the commodity production in recent years.Different proportion of other studhorse bloodline was induced to make the binary,trinary,multiple or grade crossbreeding.The breeding and popularization of new cultivars not only promote the protection of Shandan horse genetic resources,but also brings new challenge for the breed conversation.The breeding of competitive,tourism,entertainment horses would not only provide wide market prospects for the utilization of Shandan genetic resources,but also would achieve good economic benefits,ecological benefits and social benefits,so as to realize the industrialization development of green horse-breeding.
    Study on the Meat Performance of the Hybrid Progeny between Dorper Sheep and Henan Small-tailed Han Sheep

    The changes of the meat performance of the hybrid progeny with Dorper Sheep as the paternal parent and Henan Small-tailed Han Sheep as the maternal parent were studied.The results showed that the appearance of the hybrid progeny had obvious changes,the body height decreased,while chest width,chest circumference,shank circumference and thurl width significantly increased.The meat performance indices of F1 of Dorper Sheep and Henan Small-tailed Han Sheep were higher than that of Henan Small-tailed Han Sheep.The slaughter weight of F1 of Dorper Sheep and Henan Small-tailed Han Sheep was 3 kg higher,the carcass weight was 2.8 kg higher,slaughter rate was 2.2% higher,the net meat weight was 2.4 kg higher and the net meat rate was 3.78% higher than Henan Small-tailed Han Sheep,with significant difference(P0.05).
