Abstract: With the development of animal husbandry ,the semen detection has turned from routine visual measurement to multiple combined detection. Nowadays, the indices that can be used to reflect the semen quality included semen density, vigor, viability, dynamic characteristics, acrosomal membrane integrity, the state and capacitating ability of acrosome, mitochondrial activity, fertilizing capacity, etc. The quality assessment of canine semen is of great significance for the application of artificial insemination technology and in vitro fertilization technology. The essentials of laboratory detection were confirmed by analyzing many semen indices and their correlation, so as to provide reference basis for laboratory detection of canine semen quality.
