Prevalence Situations and Change Trend of Brucellosis in Xinjiang

Abstract: In order to master the prevalence situations and change trend of brucellosis in Xinjiang, based on collecting and cleaning the monitoring data of brucellosis in this area, the monitoring data of brucellosis in 96 counties (cities, districts) of 14 areas(prefectures, cities) in Xinjiang were preliminarily analyzed during 2005-2011. And the prevalence and epidemic situations of brucellosis distributed in various kinds of animals and different regions were compared. The results showed that the average positive rate of cattle brucellosis and sheep brucellosis during 2005-2011 were 0.66% and 0.61% respectively. And the average positive rate of cattle brucellosis in large-scale farm and administrative villages were 0.37% and 0.77% respectively. The average positive rate of sheep brucellosis in large-scale farm and administrative villages were 0.77% and 0.52% respectively. The positive rate of cattle brucellosis in Taeheng was the highest, and the positive rate was 2.91%. The positive rate of sheep brucellosis in Urumehi was the highest, and the positive rate was 14.67%.
