Abstract: The methods recently used at home and abroad for quantitative detection of melamine in dairy products and feed, including chromatography method, chromatography-mass spectrometry method (GC-MS,LC-MS), spectrometry and immunoassay method were introduced in this paper. By analysis and comparison of these typical methods, it was found that on one hand, some of these detection methods were expensive and their employment was limited to laboratory detection and was difficult to promotion in routine test; on the other hand, while the cost of some of detection methods was relatively low, their detection results were not reliable. However, introduce and employment of nano-gold, grapheme and other novel materials made trace detection of melamine more convenient, accurate and faster.
