Abstract: The objective of this study was to assess the association between biomass and individual evapotranspiration amount of Artemisia frigida which was the dominate plant in desert steppe at different stocking rate. The results showed that the individual daily evapotranspiration amount of the CK and LG area was relatively higher, and that of the HG area was lower; the variation of individual daily evapotranspiration amount of Artemisia frigida was relatively hysteretic compared to that of biomass and exhibited an opposite changing tendency against the biomass.
