Research on Collaborative Mixed Teaching Model Based on Sakai ——Taking Livestock Environmental Hygiene as an Example

Abstract: The application of Sakai and other network teaching and collaborative learning platforms in higher education provides new insight into the reform of professional courses in colleges and universities. Taking the Livestock Environmental Hygiene as an example, we introduce some practical experiences during the implementation of mixed teaching based on Sakai network teaching platform, and analyze the problems existing in Sakai-based collaborative mixed teaching model, such as environmental design, teaching design, effect evaluation and model promotion. The collaborative mixed teaching model based on Sakai has an important role in ameliorating teacher-undergraduate interaction as well as improving undergraduates′ self-learning ability and studying interest and enthusiasm. A series of countermeasures, such as improving education and teaching concepts, strengthening hardware investment and establishing effective mechanisms, are conductive to effectively solve various problems in application of this model.
