Abstract: Course assessment was a means to test students′ mastery of the course knowledge and their ability to use it, and also a standard to measure and evaluate the teaching effect. According to the requirements of professional personnel training, the purpose of improving the assessment method of Cattle Production was to test the learning effect of students. This paper summarized and analyzed the problems existing in the course assessment of Cattle Production, and put forward the idea of improving the course assessment for the purpose of promoting students′ active learning and improving students′ comprehensive quality. This paper summarized a series of specific methods of course assessment to improve the quality of teaching.
