Abstract: Germplasm resources and genetic diversity of horse is rich in China, and the number of the local horse reach 90 % in total. It systematic.ally reviewed varieties and diversity of germplasm resources of local horses including body conformation, chromosome, blood protein and DNA genetic diversity in the paper, and the prospect on studying their biological evolution and population genetics also was given.
