Abstract: The leaf anatomical structure of Cleistengenes songorica under different grazing patterns were studied. The results showed that the skin in the leaf of C. songorica had a layer of cells. Mesophyll cells were short-column, and epidermal cells were vertically arranged. The midrib thickness, blade thickness and mesophyll cell area of C. songorica in night-grazing region and free-grazing region were lower than that in day-grazing region, and the area of epidermal cells and thickness of corneous layer were higher than that in day-grazing region.
