Abstract: In the barn feeding process of sheep,different feed additives will affect their performance.Recent studies show that the rare earth elements added to the feed can increase meat production rate,lambing rate,feed conversion ratio,meat quality,wool length and disease-resistance at varying degrees in sheep reared in barn.The paper reviews the research progress in the effects of rare earth element used as feed additive on daily gain in sheep reared in barn.
