Adverse Impacts of High Temperature Heat Stress on High Yielding Laying Hens and Coping Strategies

Abstract: Summer high temperature heat stress can produce adverse effect on high yield production performance of laying hens. Effects of high temperature on feed intake, metabolism, digestion and absorption of nutrients, egg production, egg quality and immune function of laying hens were summarized, and countermeasures of adverse effects on laying hens were forwarded to provide a reference for the development of laying hens breeding.
